Pvt Casas was born in 1923 in California and was killed in action on June 
11, 1943 at Grainges during the Airborne invasion of Normandy.


Pvt Casas is the son of Flepia Casas [b.1902 in Mexico, to US 1916] an ice plant 
laborer and the son of Geromio Casas  [b. 1902 in Mexico, to US 1916] an orange 
packer

The 1930 US Census for LaVerne, Los Angeles County, Californis shows 
Jesus residing with his parents and 2 brothers Marcelo and Flepia.




Pvt Casas enlisted in the Army on Dec 29, 1942 
at Sacramento, CA. His enlistment records states Jesus 
 was a grammar school graduate and was employed as an auto serviceman 



Pvt Casas was awarded the Purple Heart Medal , the Croix de Guerre Unit 
Citation  [French], the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal 
with Bronze Star and Arrowhead, the WW2 Victory Medal, the WW2 
Honorable Service Lapel Button, Parachute Badge, the Combat Infantryman 
Badge and the Presidential Distinguished Unit Emblem. 

Pvt Casas is interred the Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, 
France at  Plot   A  Row  3   Grave  43
