Pfc Ball was born in 1923 in Ohio and was killed in action on June 30, 1944 
during the Airborne invasion of Normandy.

Pfc Ball is the son of Glenn Ball [b.5-3-1898 in Ohio and died 6-19-59] a grain 
farmer and the son of Myrth Ball [b. 1988 in Ohio and died unknown].

The 1930 US Census for Prairie, Franklin County, Ohio shows Glenn 
residing at Cole Road with his parents and 4 Brothers, Allan [b1920 in Ohio] 
Eugene [b. 1924 in Ohio] John [b. 1926 in Ohio] and William [b. 1929 in Ohio].

Pfc Ball enlisted in the Army on Feb 19, 1943 at Columbus, Ohio. His 
enlistment record states that Glenn completed high school was married and 
was employed a a railroad section hand. 

Pfc Ball was awarded the Purple Heart Medal,  the Croix de Guerre Unit 
Citation [French], the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal 
with Bronze Star and Arrowhead, the WW2 Victory Medal, the WW2 
Honorable Service Lapel Button, Parachute Badge, the Combat Infantryman 
Badge and the Presidential Distinguished Unit Emblem.

Pfc Ball is interred at the Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-
Mer, France at Plot  "'C'  Row  '23'  Grave  '17'.
